Do It Yourself Termite Baiting System
Got sticker shock from someone selling a professional termite bait service ? We've got the solution. It's called the HomeChoice Termite Detector. It's the Homeowners answer to Do-It-Yourself Termite Detecting and Baiting. Compared to the professional termite detectors currently on the market, the HomeChoice Termite Detector, easier to install, easier to hide, detects termites better and is substantially less expensive.
USED BY PROFESSIONAL PEST CONTROL COMPANIES. APPROVED FOR HOMEOWNER USE !!
Used all over the World by professional pest control companies- The HomeChoice Termite Detector Station is the Homeowners answer to high priced professional termite baiting services because they do not require any license or contract to purchase. Does it compare with Sentricon TM or Exterra TM termite detector stations? Yes - and it does a better job of detecting foraging termites with it's exclusive moisture seal. Unlike Sentricon or Exterra - when you purchase the HomeChoice Termite Detector Stations, you own them - outright - without any long term commitments or service contracts that can cost thousands of dollars. You can rest assured that with HomeChoice - you have made the right choice.
The HomeChoice Termite Detector Station is a good looking, very durable termite detection device that helps detect foraging termites before they attack and damage your home. The exclusive moisture seal helps keep the loblolly pine detector inside moist and chewy - the way termites like it. And because it's the only termite detector station on the market that comes with a removable numbeRing TM, the HomeChoice Termite Detector Station is easy to inspect, easy to find, easy to locate, and easy to hide.
The HomeChoice TM Termite Detector Comes Complete
With Cap, Detector Body, Special Loblolly Pine Detector, Sand & Dirt Seal
and Removable NumbeRing TM
With it's earth friendly color, The HomeChoice Termite Detector makes a great addition to any landscape and blends with just about any ground cover. Unlike Sentricon TM, Exterra TM and SmartDisk TM and Advance TM termite detectors which are bulky and are easily visible with non-removable rings, The HomeChoice Termite Detector makes having a termite detector system almost invisible in areas where you need to hide them, but with the numbeRing very visible in areas where they may by hard to find.
- The HomeChoice Termite Detector comes complete with removable numbeRing for easy numbering and locating. Don't want the numbeRing in visible areas? It's easily removable.
- UV resistant Detector Body with Earth Friendly Color blends with Landscape and is easy to hide.
- Easy removable Locking Lid makes inspection a snap and keeps the station tamper resistant from children and pets.
- Loblolly Pine Detector fits nicely into the locking lid, making inspection for termites simple while returning the wood detector to it's original position - to make certain that termite tunnels "line up" when the wood detector is removed for inspection.
- Cellulose Sand & Dirt Seal helps to keep sand and dirt from seeping into the station while providing an alternative source of feeding material.
- Drain hole located at the bottom of the station allows water to escape.HomeChoice Station Actual Size 7"x 2"
How Does The HomeChoice Termite Detector Work ?
Whether you are interested in detecting and monitoring subterranean termites or in baiting and killing them, the HomeChoice Termite Detectors are available with or without a toxicant to kill subterranean termites.
The starter baiting system consists of 20 HomeChoice Termite Detector Stations and 20 Terminate stakes - That's enough bait to kill an average colony of 250,000 worker termites.*
If Termites Are Not Active Inside Your Home
When you receive your HomeChoice Termite Bait Kit, install the HomeChoice Termite Detectors every 10 feet around the perimeter of your home - about 3 feet from the outer wall and also wherever you might suspect termite activity. The average 200' Linear foot home (all outer walls measured in feet) will require approximately 20 stations. If you have a large home or just need additional HomeChoice Termite Detectors - you can purchase them individually for only $11.95 each and we'll add them to your order.
Every month the HomeChoice Termite Detectors are inspected to find which stations have actively feeding termites. It normally takes an average of 8 months for termites to find the detectors and start feeding. When termites are found actively feeding, 2 Terminate Stakes containing the ingredient "Sulflurimid" are placed into the ground beside each HomeChoice Termite Detector and then replaced as the termites consume them.
When the termites have consumed the entire box of 20 Terminate Stakes*, and there are no signs of active termites inside or outside the structure for at least 6 months - your treatment is complete! If termites are found to be active, then simply install more Terminate until all signs of feeding activity stop.
Finally, we recommend to replace the Loblolly wood in the HomeChoice Termite Detectors and continue checking every 3 months to ensure continued early termite detection.
If Termites Are Active Inside Your Home
It is best to spot treat the area with Termidor or Premise before you install your HomeChoice Termite Detectors and only where active termites are found. By using a minimal amount of chemical and spot treating the area where termites are found, it will actually help to increase the termite foraging activity which means that the Termites will find the HomeChoice Termite Detectors faster. This is recommended to reduce the possibility of further termite damage during the termite detection and pre-baiting period.
Termidor or Premise are both easily applied into wall voids with the Solo Wall Foamer and are also easily applied into the soil inside or under the home to stop attacking termites. After the termite activity is stopped, your HomeChoice Termite Detectors are installed and inspected as earlier discussed. If you need more information on spot or soil treating for termites, visit out Termite Treatment Methods section.
Some pest companies will install a termite baiting system without any treatment to stop attacking termites. This is called a "stand alone" treatment. "Stand alone" treatments are a bad idea because termites can cause damage during the time it takes them to find the detector stations and begin a feeding cycle. You need to stop the termite infestation with Termidor or Premise to minimize the damage they can cause. You can have a licensed pest control company perform this spot treatment if you prefer - or you can do-it-yourself. We sell a complete line of do-it-yourself termite chemicals and supplies.
Why Use HomeChoice TM Termite Detector Stations ?
Better Termite Colony Pre-baiting
All professional termite baiting systems require a pre-baiting period so that the worker termites can detect and feed on the wood in the stations. This pre-baiting period is extremely important to ensure that a good feeding cycle is established between the bait stations and the colony itself. Initially, it's the scout termites that find and consume the Loblolly Pine in the Termite Detectors. The termite scouts (foragers) then release a scent trail that attracts worker termites from other feeding areas. This attraction process is very important and is the very basis of termite baiting. If the scout termites are killed before the workers establish a feeding cycle, then the effect on the termite colony is minimal.. That is the reason that an "active" or "toxicant" station is not used initially. Also, good quality soft wood that is palatable to the termites is important and regular inspections are very important. Ease of inspection by simply removing the lid and long lasting UV resistant design make the HomeChoice Termite Detectors the only practical termite bait station currently available directly to homeowners.
HomeChoice Termite Baiting System Benefits
Lower Overall Termite Colony Baiting Cost
The cost differential between professional installations and do-it-yourself installations is enormous. If you have had estimates from professional pest companies then you know that the cost is astronomical. These systems are not available directly to the homeowner either and require expensive long term contracts.. The Do-It-Yourself HomeChoice Termite Detectors are the only economical choice with stations costing only $11.95 each and our starter kits are available for a very economical investment.
100% Termite Bait System Ownership - Not A Lease Program
You would think that once you spent a couple of thousand dollars on a termite bait system that you would own it right ? With Sentricon TM or Exterra TM forget it. If you cancel the service, the pest company will come out and take your stations out of the ground. You do not own the stations - you are simply purchasing a service and leasing the stations. When you purchase the HomeChoice Termite Detectors, they are yours. Just like any other household appliance. Plus, if your Termite Detectors get damaged or destroyed, parts are available to rebuild them or they can be replaced at a very economical price.
100% Money Back Guarantee !
The HomeChoice Termite Detectors are guaranteed to meet your total satisfaction, or simply return them, unused, for a complete refund including shipping costs, no questions asked. HomeChoice Termite Detectors also come with a 1 year replacement warranty against defects. With Sentricon TM , Exterra TM, or Firstline TM or Advance TM there are no guarantees. With HomeChoice Termite Detectors, your satisfaction is fully guaranteed, and Terminate TM toxicant bait stakes carry a 1 YEAR Money Back Guarantee from Spectrum Corp. NO OTHER BAIT SYSTEM ON THE MARKET HAS THIS KIND OF GUARANTEE !
